2 Consecutive days starting January 11th - 12th from 10-5pm. 12 Hour Workshop.
Tuition: $360 (+ materials kit)
Instructor: Wayne Werner
In this 2 day workshop, students will explore the basics of synclastic forms for earrings, cuffs, and beyond! Join Wayne Werner as he shows us how to texture, forge and form precious metal into domed shapes producing durable, timeless designs. Students will learn how to add soft and beautiful patterns by texturing the metal via roller printing or hammer patterning. Then he’ll show different examples on how to do synclastic/domed forms using wood and steel dapping blocks as well as hammers and punches. The last step will be satin finishing and edge burnishing to achieve a classic finish. Students can produce one or more pairs of earrings or a cuff to take home. The only requirement is light forging, sawing and some soldering.
