Barbara Bayne is a nationally recognized jeweler and metalsmith who has participated in over 200 national fine craft and museum shows. Her 30-year career got its start at Arcadia University where she did her thesis work on the metalsmithing technique called die forming. She has continued to explore die forming as a technique to make the designs that she envisions in gold and sterling silver.
She has taught this technique at McDaniel College/Common Ground on the Hill and at the Delaware Museum of Art through the Pennsylvania Society of Goldsmiths. Her work has been published in several of the Lark Publishing 500 series books, Art Jewelry Magazine and Making Metal Beads by Pauline Warg. She continues to create jewelry in her Havre de Grace, Maryland studio and to travel nationally teaching and exhibiting her work with her partner and fellow metalsmith Wayne Werner.
