Jewelry Creations Workshop provides all tools and supplies for all projects. Tuition is for 6 - 3 hour classes, for a total of 18 hours of hands on instruction. Class schedule can be flexible. Attend class once a week for six weeks or as often as 3 times a week for 2 weeks. Fill out the contact form for more info.
Morning, afternoon and evening classes available:
- Monday through Friday, 10am - 1pm, 1:15pm - 4:15pm or 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
- Saturdays 11am - 2pm or 2:30pm - 5:30pm.

Beginning to Intermediate Fabrication

In this class you will become familiar with the hand tools,
torch, jewelers flex shaft, polishing motor, and more. Through
individual help and class demonstration you will learn about layout,
piercing, filing, forming, soldering, stone setting and finishing. You
will gain confidence in the jewelry studio environment. No previous
knowledge is required to attend this class. 18 hours of hands on
experience.

Intermediate to Advanced Fabrication

Class Tuition: $255 Materials included
The intermediate class will focus on honing your skills while
learning new ones. We have a few projects that will teach you the next
level of jewelry construction. Learn to forge metal, make tubing,
advanced stone setting, texturing and patinas, chain making,
clasps and hinges. We will also touch on techniques such as chasing
and repousse, fold forming, and mechanisms. To attend this class you
must have experience. 18 hours of hands on experience.

Wire Working and Beading

Materials Included
Make amazing jewelry without ever using a torch or needing to
solder. This class introduces you to the wonderful world of wire.
With design assistance and creative inspiration you will understand how
beaded jewelry is made. Learn to wire link beads, fabricate your
own findings like clasps and ear wires, endings, and chains.
No previous knowledge is required. (18 hours)
Fold Forming

Learn to create complex high relief forms from single sheets of
metal in 3 to 5 minutes. These forms resemble chased, constructed and
soldered shapes. The Fold Forming class is a great way to learn the
metals natural tendencies of plasticity, ductility and elasticity. No
experience is necessary to attend this class. (18 hours)
Stone Setting
Instructor: Steven Brownlee

Class Tuition: $255 plus $45 Materials Fee
This class takes a closer look at the professional side of stone
setting. You will be introduced to the most common settings in the
trade: bezels, prongs, flush setting, and tube setting. Learn to use
tools such as burs, bezel roller, punches, gravers, and burnishers. In
this class you will set stones in a thin bezel, thick bezel, square
bezel, tube and prongs. Experience is necessary to attend this class.

Chains

Several classical bracelet designs are taught in this class, at
various levels of difficulty. You may choose to make samples of each
design or create a few finished pieces. Learn how to make links in
quantity and how to assemble and finish them to resemble ancient
chains. No experience is necessary to attend this class. (18 hours)
Wax Carving

Learn the basics to advanced wax carving techniques. Wax is great
for making models for custom work and production. Learn to carve, saw,
drill and melt wax into interesting forms that we will have casted
later.
Chasing & Repousse
Instuctor: Fabrizio Acquafresca
March 26, 27 & 28
Class Tuition: $325 Materials included
In this 3 day workshop, learn chasing and repousse in the Italian style. Guided by an Italian
Master who is heir to a long lineage of metalworkers, students learn
the Italian approach to creating reliefs and forms in sheet metal. Students learn to make a several specialized tools specific for this such as iron prick-punches. Instruction
includes various sawing and piercing techniques. Participants begin by
creating a dragonfly in relief, followed by the design and executing of
the design of their choice. Students should bring a jewelry design with fruit, flower, or abstract image.

Precious Metal Clay

Learn the basics of PMC in this 6 hour class. Under the direct supervision of the instructor, you will learn the foundation skill of this unique craft.
